ruebenwafco's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- how can you justify uprooting a perfectly healthy tree? two friends of mine bought a house and i just went to see it last night for the first time. in the back yard, in the center of the yard, stood a beautiful elm tree. they claim that they are going to have it removed because it is "ugly," although they are aware that it is one of the last tress of its kind in the area in which we live. i really felt sorry for the tree and my opinion of my two friends has changed drastically. * they also claim to be "outdoorsy people" but whenever we were outside all they could concentrate on were all the bugs, and couldnt wait to get back inside to their air conditioner* my problem is that when i really analyze most people, i begin to not like them at all. - 2001-06-30 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
